This fall during the pandemic, I found that social distancing doesn’t inspire the creative process. So in my state of that lacked inspiration, I pulled out photos from our trip to Alaska and painted the north face of Denali with oil paints. At that point I decided that i like the subject, so I decied to paint a series from the same reference photo. I created paintings with oil, pastels, watercolor on Yupo and watercolor on cold press paper. I painted in varying sizes and color schemes. It was a good exercise that I enjoyed and I will repeat it again someday.
