Value study

I took a vacation. It was a wonderful trip, then life got busy and I didn’t make time for art. At that point, the creative process in my life all but came to a complete stop. When that happens, it is always hard to get started again. Once the momentum is gone, inertia kicks in, and the creative ball doesn’t want to start rolling. So I decided the best place to start is the beginning. That means back to the basics. Here is my starting point, a value study. Simply putting colors next to each lets the creative process start moving and it feels good.
